See some of our recent excavation, grading, landscaping, land clearing, and property improvement projects throughout the Bemidji area.
On this project we did some forestry mulching to improve access and visual appeal of this property. We also expanded their parking space by cutting into this hill and leveling off an area to park, then bringing in a load of gravel to improve stability over time.
This customer was having a pre-built cottage delivered to their property to use as extra guest living quarters. They needed a level, stable foundation to set the building on. The area was excavated and the topsoil and organic materials were removed and gravel was installed, spread, leveled and compacted for a firm base to last the test of time.
This was a unique project to complete. Over 800 stumps needed to be ground out with very minimal access. The only way to access this section of property is to cross a swamp on a bridge made for light duty equipment. While only being able to use small, light equipment, this job was still completed even due to the difficult restrictions.
With an area of your yard that is difficult to maintain, it’s easy to let things get overgrown. On this project we removed all of the overgrown vegetation and installed weed barrier fabric, poly edging, ninebarks, daylilies and drip line irrigation. Making this space easy to maintain and easy to look at.
Water in the basement is never a good thing, and one of the first things to look at is the grading around the house. We installed catch basins and pop-up emiters to all down spouts directing rain water away from the foundation as well as fixing the grade in a particularly problematic area resulting in a dry basement for years to come.
